This is where I am now:
- I am a big law attorney, making multiple 6-figures, at a law firm that pays above market.
- In 2022, I started a successful business, Topping the Curve, which made me over $400k, profit, in 2024.
- I retired my mom in mid 2025, with cashflow from my business.
- I live in a luxury high-rise in Washington, D.C.
- I own a home.
- I am on track to be *able* to retire in 5-10 years.
- I focus on building wealth and financial freedom.
- I don’t lower my standards. I don’t make exceptions. I don’t chase. I don’t tell myself “no.”
But this was nowhere near where I started.
I am the daughter of immigrants (Jamaica), and I was not born into money. I did not have a silver spoon in my mouth.
I did not have the access to (or even know about finding) coaches, mentors, and champions to help me achieve my goals.
I did not go (or know to) apply to ivy league schools.
No one in my family had the financial literacy. They didn’t have the “cheat code.” None of them even had graduate degrees.
I am the first attorney in my family. The first to make multiple-6-figures.
So how did I get to where I am now, at just 28 years old?
What I did have? What I was raised with? Grit. Determination. A desire to learn. Work ethic. A willingness to invest.
And that’s all you need.

About the Founder
Sephora Grey, Esq. is a Big Law attorney, entrepreneur, and speaker
After graduating at the top of my class from Georgetown Law and clerking in the federal courts, I stepped into Big Law earning multiple six figures.
I was also running my business, Topping the Curve, which added another multiple-6-figures to my income.
I was able to retire my mom, and I bought a home.
But this wasn’t where it all began.
Before all of this, I made a decision. Actually, a few decisions:
- Money would never stop me from doing what I want to do.
- I would never lower my standards or accept less than I deserve.
- I would get everything I put my mind to.
- If I set out to achieve something, I would have it.
- I am the owner and controller of my life. Me and God.
These decisions are what allowed me to step into my true self and live my dream life.
But it wasn’t just about saying it. I acted on it.
A daughter of immigrants, no attorneys or other graduate professionals in my family, no one with the necessary financial literacy, no one to inherently guide me, I went out and found the people who could.
